The path of Tantra

(International Sahaja Tantra Teacher Training)

Personal story of Nils Kriedner  /  Short biography

I know how it feels to be afraid and dependend,

I have felt it myself...

I know how it feels to desperately search for direction,

I have searched myself...

I know the pain of desperate loneliness,

I have been there myself...

I have walked in dark tunnels,

I have given up and I have fallen.

All of that I have experienced more than enough.

But again and again

I have also seen,

that every tunnel comes to an end,

that the light is always waiting for us.

Relax in trust and open up

to life, to truth,

to the Dao, to emptiness

or to god if you like.

Walk the pathless path

to yourself in this life.

Neither am I on a power trip

nor do I suffer from a helping syndrom.

But if I can help you in any way

that you find yourself

then I will enjoy this and be happy.

Personal story of Nils Kriedner

Even though my biography does not have a real meaning any more for me in the classical understanding, I know that it might still be interesting for you to get to know a little of my background and my path to myself. And so I will point out some of the many pathes which I have walked.

I was born on
october the 24th of 1975 in Salzkotten, close to Paderborn (Germany) where I grew up and spent my time until I was 19.

I discovered my interest for the training of body and mind in various east asian martial arts when I was six years old. I trained Judo, Karate, Aikido, Wing Chun and Arnis and eventually as a teenager arrived at Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu - a traditional Japanese martial art. In this tradition I found all the elements combined and I still see it as one of the most complex and holistic martial arts in the world. It showed me true strength. It taught me how to walk through life in a relaxed way. My most important teachers and inspirations at that time were Mark Schomaker, Sveneric Bogsater and Stephen K. Hayes.

While training martial arts I early also began to become interested in mental techniques, esoterics and buddhism - which I regarded as the partner to the martial arts training. They were supposed to make me become a kind of mental superman. ;)

So I studied autogenic training, alpha training and other relaxation techniques and eventually came to practice Zen meditation. My most importan Zen teachers in that time were Rei Shin Sensei and Rei Ko Sensei from the Zen circle in Bremen. They taught me the art of letting go and in their presence I experienced first glimpses of inner silence and clarity.

After finishing school in 1994 I then fullfilled one of my most desired heart wishes. I travelled to Japan and did an intensive one year training in the Bujinkan martial art. Among my Japanese teachers were such exceptional masters as Mannaka, Noguchi, Ishizuka and Nagase and the current grandmaster Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi. With Hiroshi Nagase Sensei I am still deeply connected in friendship even today. He showed me this ever flowing source of creativity and freedom that lies in the heart of every true art.

After my stay in Japan I returned to Germany, studied Japanese language at the university of Bonn and travelled some more times to Japan during my studies for shorter periods of training time. In 1999 I finally passed the 5th dan test and received the title "Shidoshi" ("teacher of the warrior way") by the grandmaster.

My first massage training (Osho-Massage) I did in 1999 at the Osho Uta institute in Cologne with Udgita. In 2001 I then learned Shiatsu at the Shendo institute Dresden with Rebha Kaiser, then in 2002 I studied Yoga-, Sensitivity- and Tantra-massages with Lucian Loosen at the Osho Nirvesha center in Italy and last but not least in 2004 I learned traditional ayurvedic massage by Jörg Adolphs in Dresden.

From 1997 to 2000 I also became engaged very intensely in native american survival arts and shamanic spiritual teachings. By reading one of the books of Tom Brown (a famous holistic wilderness teacher) I became so passionate about it that I decided spontanously to fly to the US and attend one of Toms seven days intensive courses (the standard course at his school). I am forever grateful to Tom for the deep contact to earth mother that I rediscovered during that time. My further training in these aspects took place in Sweden and Germany: a wilderness basic course with Gero Wever, the earthway intensive course in Sweden with Peter Bauer and Gero Wever and the philosophy of the earth - course with Uwe Belz.

Then after finding the studies at university meaningless I left Bonn in summer of 1999 and moved to Dresden where I started to work self employed and where I still live today.

During 2001 and 2004 my main focus then shifted to Yoga and Tantra. I completed a two years intensive Tantra teacher training with Lucian Loosen at the EroSpirit institute in Cologne and also got some important inputs by the Tantra and massage master Andro from Berlin and by the master of ecstasy Trayati Gabriele Impsal from Vienna who gave me some insights in the methods of the tantric Kriya Yoga.

At the end of 2004 I fullfilled another of my heart wishes and travelled to India where I completed the Yoga- and Advaita Vedanta- training in Tiruvannamalai with Swami Suddhananda, one of the greatest living Jnana Yoga masters (Jnana Yoga = the yoga of self realization).

In 2005 I then did the one year Tantra energetics training with Subodhi and Samarona at the Osho Uta institute in Cologne. Here I learned many helpful therapeutic and energetic aspects of Tantra.

Some other impulses I also got in working together with the South African Tantra teacher and therapist Ma Anand Leandra with whom I spent time in South Africa teaching workshops and giving massages in 2009.

During 2007 and 2008 I also engaged very deeply in the studies of the dynamics between man and women and participated in many workshops and coachings about the arts of contact, flirting, seduction and relationships. The most important input I got from the flirt- and seduction-coaches Babu Bela Hill, Xatrix Pascal Levin and Joker Maximilian Pütz.

During the last year I finally developped the unique and intuitive Sahaja Tantra path from my numerous different experiences and apart from that focussed completely on inner freedom and absolute truth. I learned the wonderful method for self exploration and transformation The work of Byron Katie in an intensive training with Moritz Boerner and also with Byron Katie herself. And I visited Satsang meetings (Satsang = meeting in truth) of different spiritual teachers. For my major transformations I have to thank the radical master of self exploration Madhukar and the loving master of devotion Samarpan. Since meeting these two masters the classical search for liberation has come to an end. I still enjoy to learn new forms and methods for personal growth but there are no more open questions, problems or sufferings in the classical sense of the word. I feel home and at peace with myself.

With every day that I live I discover new horizons of freedom and inner spaciousness. And life is so clear and easy that I actually have to think for a long time to find any problem at all. I just live, laugh and love.

And I would feel honoured if I could share this peace and aliveness with you.
